Artist’s CV

I grew up in a family of artists and was taught initially by my parents who were both art teachers in colleges in London.
In my early 20s, I studied Philosophy at Christ’s College, Cambridge: a process of defining and asking difficult questions. Over the years, I have, in addition to making art, worked as a social worker, yoga teacher and, most recently, as a psychotherapist.
At the outset of my painting career, in my late twenties, I concentrated mainly on abstract work, and I received tuition for many years at The City Literary Institute in Holborn, London.
Now in my 60s, I have developed my own particular style of painting, and my focus is now to celebrate the extraordinary nature of the world we find ourselves in and our place in the universe.
In addition to creating my own pieces of work, I have worked with adults on art projects in day care settings, worked collaboratively producing jointly made pieces of work with other artists, and made presentations and run workshops about my working methods. My paintings can be found in private collections in this country, France, Argentina and the USA.
